You can’t come to Florence and not visit its unique museums but walking around on these hot days – even if inside some museums you can count on the air conditioning – is not easy, laziness may show up.
A good option, therefore, would be to visit the museums at night, right? The good news is that in August several museums in Florence will be open in the evening, so you can enjoy the night breeze for sightseeing.
Here are your options:
Uffizi Gallery
Every Tuesday, until September 24, from 7 pm to 22 pm. (except for the 13th August).
Accademia Gallery
Every Tuesday and Thursday, until September 26, from 7 pm to 10 pm. SMART TIP: The last Thursday of August and September you can enter for free until 10 pm.
Palazzo Vecchio
Every day (except Thursday), until September, until 11 pm. The Arnolfo Tower and the Ronda walkway instead close at 9 pm, right after the sunset.
Novecento Museum
Every Friday, until September, until 11 pm.
Baptistery
From Thursday to Saturday, until September 23, until 11 pm.
Until December 2019, the Uffizi, the Accademia and the Medici Chapels will remain open from 7 pm to 11 pm on the last Saturday of every month.
