As you know, our breakfast is one of the highlights of your stay at Antica Torre. Not surprisingly, one of our recipes is mentioned in the book “Dolce Firenze & Toscana – The sweet side of our country”, by Veronica Triolo (link to the interview on our blog).
As we are in the middle of the pandemic, you probably won’t be able to taste this delight on our property, so we decided to give you a delicious Christmas present: the Matcha Tea Plumcake recipe. It will surely sweeten your December.

7 ounces (200 gr) flour 00
7 ounces (200 gr) granulated sugar

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons whole milk

2 tsp Matcha tea
In a bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and yeast, then add the eggs, milk, EVO oil, one at a time, mixing with a spatula. Finally add the Matcha tea powder and continue stirring.
