The year 2021 is very special for us. The Antica Torre Tornabuoni celebrates 20 years of a history that mixes with that of Florence, which makes us so very proud. In 2001, the doors of the Tower were opened from the very first time.

In those days we were only a primitive version of the Tower, but with the same welcoming spirit. In the meantime, we have grown a lot to become the reality we are now, an Historical Residence which is in the TOP of Condè Nast Traveller’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

This recognition, for us, is the reward for our daily effort to make our property your home away from home and to provide our guests with a unique and unforgettable experience of “living the history”. But it is also, and mainly, proof of how special our guests are, without whom we would never have made it this far.

So, throughout the year 2021, we will offer you a flute of prosecco in our bar, so we can celebrate 20 years of the Tower together.

Historical Residence

Did you know that we are the first Historical Residence in Florence? Thanks to the courage of those who believed that receptivity could exist in a house that made history!

The term Historical Residence (Residenza d’Epoca) identifies castles and historical residences of excellence with a long history of traditions in which the property becomes the guardian of the past, present and future.

The Italian Historic Houses Association was founded in Rome on March 4, 1977 on the example of similar associations already operating in other European countries.

This important partnership, which for over 40 years has been aiming to facilitate the conservation, enhancement, and management of historic houses, was born thanks to the commitment and passion of some loyal owners, custodians of what can undoubtedly be defined as the most important world historical-artistic heritage.
