Everybody loves selfies! So, imagine having 1000 square meters with immersive installations and scenarios to take as many selfies as you want! That’s the idea of the Self Museum, which space was created by over 400 artists from all over the world.
Kaleidoscopic patterns, polka dots, play of lights, mirrors and colored balls are distributed in over 50 rooms organized like a labyrinth where the visitors are invited to express their creativity with memorable photographs, images, and video clips to share with their friends. A very “instagramable” museum, as they say.
For the first time in Florence, the format of the exhibition is a real international success and has conquered, for example, Los Angeles, New York, Dubai and even Rome, where the first Italian selfie museum was inaugurated at the Zoomarine park. The difference among these and the Florentine exhibition is the size: the Florentine Self Museum is the largest and most varied ever made in Europe to date.
The Self Museum will be open until 8 March 2022 at the Florence Art Lab in via Ricasoli. Information and tickets: https://selfiemuseumfirenze.it/
