It’s Christmas time! And we, at Antica Torre Tornabuoni, simply love it. So, as every year, we decorated our property to provide our guests the magical atmosphere of Christmas. As you enter in our building, you will find our Christmas tree, which is lighted up with warm lights, to illuminate the Christmas days with love and simplicity, as we left out the classical Christmas balls or tinsel, to represent essentiality and the real Christmas spirit.
Walking through our corridors, and in each one of the spaces, you will find Christmas details prepared with all the love and care: there are candles, candelabras, garlands, and various items that, in their simplicity, provide a dip in this very special date.
Nativity Scene
More than the Christmas tree and decorations, our forte has always been the nativity scene, and this year is no different. Therefore, we embrace the Italian tradition through a nativity scene that changes every year and is enriched with monuments and characters, and the monuments are that of our wonderful Florence, for where the nativity is set in an imaginary but concrete place from which the most important monuments can be recognized, from the Duomo to the Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella.
All the terracotta works are created by Dandy Robosa, who gives us not only the great monuments but also the small details, such as the floors made in terracotta or the roof tiles made strictly by hand.
One of the characters that calls attention is a baker. Even the baker’s bread comes out of our oven (in small dimensions of course!).
Under the Ponte Vecchio, where real water flows, 2 fishermen have also been represented – characters who are not part of the traditional nativity scene but are closely related to the sacred scriptures.
We can’t wait for our guests to see our 2022 decoration! Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!!!
