The journey to discover the excellence of Made in Italy returns on October 21 and 22. It is Apritimoda, with over 100 companies ready to open their doors and reveal the secrets of Italian fashion. It is an opportunity to know from inside the work of artisans, laboratories, and large companies in the sector.
The protagonist of this 7th edition is Italian sports fashion. A novelty within the now usual and unmissable event, created by journalist Cinzia Sasso. This year, in fact, for the first time, the public will also have the opportunity to discover those places where fashion meets sport and innovation intertwines with beauty; because sport, like fashion, is a universal language.
Among the new entries of this edition there are companies that have made the history of sports clothing and accessories; realities, such as the Moon Boots by Tecnica Group, which have allowed Italian après-ski to enter the history of costume so much so that they were exhibited at the Moma in New York; companies, such as Fila, which have dressed ski champions; there are those, like Uyn, who create the underwear worn by the champions during their competitions; who, like Salice, have held the secret of knowing how to make ski goggles for champions for over a century.
Beyond sports, this year families who have been handing down knowledge and love for manual work for over a century are making their entry: the artisans who create and finish the brushes sought after and appreciated all over the world; the masters who create sculpture-jewels by working and weaving Murano glass beads by hand; professionals who produce headbands, headdresses, hand-painted silk flowers, turbans and jewelry that tell of a great love for the history of art; women who beat silk, broom and wool with their loom, giving life to unique creations.
As expected, the companies that were present in all previous editions will also participate in 2023. Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Loro Piana, Zegna, Fratelli Rossetti which turns 70 this year; and small workshops such as Pino Grasso Ricami, Gallia&Peter Cappelli, the Maglia artisan umbrella factory, the Omega glove maker from Naples who sells in Fifth Street, just to name a few.
