Don\u2019t expect s grand foyer entrance or typical 5 star \u201ccheck in\u201d but don\u2019t let this fool you.
\nWe were personally taken to our rooms and given a guided tour where to our amazement we discovered generously sized and beautifully decorated and furnished rooms with high ceilings.
\nThere is an amazing rooftop terrace and bar that offer 360 degree views of Florence.
\nAnd to finish it off the breakfast is truly special …. \u201cgourmet food prepared and presented with love and finesse. No stone has been unturned from the fine tea selection to the quality cured meats and pastries.
\nMake sure you include breakfast.
\nLastly the hotel is perfectly located in the most exclusive street in Florence.
\nWhat more could you ask for???

My husband, two adult daughters and I booked two rooms at the Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni for four nights and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The entire staff was very competent, pleasant and responsive. We took advantage of a lovely private tour of Tuscany arranged by the concierge.The pictures online truly don’t due justice to the rooms – I guess one has to be there in person in order to appreciate the sumptuous fabrics and tasteful decor throughout the entire property. The breakfasts were outstanding both because of the wide variety of delicious offerings as well as the beautiful rooftop breakfast room. There was also a magical rooftop outdoor space where one could have a drink or just relax and enjoy the view. Many hotels in Florence advertise a great location, but after getting to know the city a bit, I think Antica Torre is the best. An easy walk in any direction got you to major sights, good restaurants, nice shops or an interesting neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Another vote for simply one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From the warm and friendly welcome at reception to a room with private patio overlooking the rooftops of Florence it simply couldn’t get better.
\nThe wide selection of DVDs for use enabled kids to be entertained in the evening.
\nThe honour bar open 24×7 enables everyone to get a drink or a coffee\/tea at anytime and just jot down what you used.
\nThe rooftop terrace provides just the best view across the whole of Florence.
\nIt’s location is just perfect making it one of my top worldwide hotels.<\/p>\n

Comfortable bed, elegantly decorated room. The pictures do not do it justice. Great breakfast in beautiful setting and astounding views. Very nice and helpful personnel. Fabulous property ith really nice helpful staff. Really conveniently located and easy to walk to the major sight. Large well appointed rooms – our apartment also had a useful kitchen and we were able to arrange for groceries to be waiting for our arrival. The roof terrace bar and restaurant are exceptional with views to the Duomo, up and down the river and over to Pizzi Palace.
