Nowadays things are fleeting, everything changes all the time. Obviously, we are different! Many of our staff have been with us for over 10 years, and in January 2023, one very special employee came of age: 18 years with us! To celebrate this special date, in addition to celebrating with the traditional millefeuille that she loves, we have made this interview with our &#8220;birthday girl&#8221; Mirela. Congratulations!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s your name?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mirela Berberi<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How old are you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>45 years old<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where are you from?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Albany<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s your profession?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Housekeeper<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3 adjectives that define you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sincerity<\/p>\n<p>To care so much for the people who are dear to me<\/p>\n<p>and\u2026 I&#8217;m very fussy<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do people often say to you at work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Good job!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 3 things you observe when you enter in a room? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I look at the mess, the bathroom and then I check the terraces<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>An embarrassing situation at work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once, at the beginning of my career, I knocked three times on the door of a room and they didn&#8217;t answer me so I went in while the guests were making love\u2026 I thought there was nobody there. I opened the room, and the bed was right in front of the door, in short\u2026 I apologized and, out of shame, I never entered that room again until they left.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What has changed from your first day to today?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many things have changed regarding the hotel. Before it was very small, when I started there were only 12 rooms. Breakfast was served on the Terrace, then, over time it has expanded and grown. But the atmosphere has remained the same: here you feel like family. From the first day, until today, I have always felt welcomed like family; I honestly feel very good. I think that as the years go by, I might want to change jobs because it could get more difficult, but as a type of job I would never change it. It feels good here because you work for and with people, but there is still familiarity where you feel in your own skin at any time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do you see yourself in 18 years?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My dream in 18 years is to be on a beach, in the heat, enjoying my retirement with my husband, perhaps with someone else who cleans my room, even if it could be a problem, because when we go to a hotel I always bring pack sanitizer and wipes: I&#8217;m obsessed.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Not all companies can boast of keeping the same staff for many years.
