As you may know, we love our city and, for us, it is the best place on earth to begin the new year with the right foot. First because from the beginning of December till January 6th<\/sup>, Florence is decorated with lights, Christmas trees and motifs, which make walking around a magic journey.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, the arrival of the new year is celebrated with beautiful fireworks, which can be seen from various places in the historic center, both from the top – our terrace offers a privileged view<\/a> – as from the ground, where the Ponte Alle Grazie is a great choice to admire the fireworks illuminating the Florentine sky and reflecting over the Arno river.<\/p>\n

All the Florentine squares celebrate the passage in the new year, so you can just choose one to stay or walk around the city, wishing everybody a happy new year and getting good wishes yourself.\u00a0 That\u2019s certainly what the Florentines will be doing on the last day of 2018 and the first day of 2019.<\/p>\n

If you want something more private, you can have dinner in our restaurant, The Tower<\/a>, where there will be a special New Years\u2019 Eve menu<\/a>, and watch the fireworks from our rooftop, with exclusivity and Florence under your feet.<\/p>\n

There are also options for those who would like to begin 2019 with the sound of music. In general, the free concerts are held on the following places: Piazza Signoria, Piazza della Stazione, Piazza del Duomo, and Piazza Santissima Annunziata.<\/p>\n

For a more lively crowd, the nightlife scene in Florence is especially hectic on New Years\u2019 Eve. The top venues to look out for are Full Up, Space Club Firenze<\/a> and Bamboo Lounge and Club<\/a>. Be sure to book in advance.<\/p>\n

Whatever your choice to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Florence, we are sure that, being in our wonderful city, you will start 2019 on the right foot.
