[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We already mentioned here in the BLOG that the San Marco Museum is one of the most beautiful buildings of Florence<\/a>. And for those who are planning a trip to the city in October, we have great news: until October 30th<\/sup>, every Friday, visitors to the San Marco Museum will have access to the Cloister of San Domenico, one of the largest cloisters in Florence.<\/p>\n

Originally decorated with 36 frescoed lunettes (still partially preserved) painted by the baroque Florentine painters Cosimo Ulivelli, Alessandro Gherardini, Sebastiano Galeotti, Niccol\u00f2 Lapi, the cloister also holds the sculptural group executed by Andrea Baratta in 1700, that represents San Domenico trampling on heresy.<\/p>\n

There won\u2019t be free guided tours through the cloister, but the museum staff will be available to provide brief information on it. The visit to the cloister of San Domenico is included in the entrance ticket to the museum of Euro 6.<\/p>\n
