On May 27, 1993, Florence was shaken by the tragic bombing of Via dei Georgofili, a mafia attack that forever marked the city’s history.
The explosion claimed the lives of an entire family: Fabrizio and Angela Nencioni, their daughters Nadia and Caterina, as well as student Dario Capolicchio. It also caused severe damage to the Uffizi Gallery and the Vasari Corridor, striking at the very heart of Florence’s cultural heritage.
Today, Florence remembers the victims with sorrow, solidarity, and the continued pursuit of truth and justice.
